Two of the most popular videos that I’ve shot have been those showing the MTH Premier SP Daylight GS-2 and GS-4 steam locomotives, so they were among the first that I reshot in True HD 1080p. I had received requests to show them double-headed and did a video of that too. Well, I’ve now received requests to show them double-headed in HD so here they are, the GS-2 leading with the GS-4 following, hauling a long string of matching Daylight passenger cars. Watch the 11 car train in several shots over a period of 3 days, as it passes along the Colombia River, up into Northeastern Washington, through Idaho, into Montana over the famed Marias Pass, and down across the plains of northern Montana in this 10 minute video. Two of the most popular videos that I’ve shot have been those showing the SP Daylight GS-2 and GS-4 steam locomotives. I’ve received a number of requests to show them running double-headed. This video is the result of those requests. Here they are, the GS-2 leading with the GS-4 following, hauling a long string of matching Daylight passenger cars. After the first run-by, I wondered what they would look like at twilight, so I shut down most of the lighting for the second run-by. While grainier and more jerky than the fully lit run-by, it does let you see the cars lit mostly by their own lighting.
