Atlas O Erie EMD F3

This video features the recently released Atlas O Erie EMD F3′s. One A unit is powered while the other is unpowered. These locomotives are part of Atlas O’s Master Line. As to be expected the detail on these locomotives is second to none. Atlas O did a very, very nice job making these locomotives. The paint and lettering are flawless. These locomotives couple very close to each other and that also adds greatly to their appearance. The powered A unit features Lionel Railsounds 4.0, TMCC, Train America Studios Engineer on Board speed control. electro couplers, and a fan driven smoke unit which I did not use in this video. It also has a die cast frame and fuel tank which helps make these locomotives sound so nice. The unpowered locomotive features a working headlight and marker lights. There is a switch on the bottom of this locomotive for both the head and marker lights to turn each on and off. In my opinion, Atlas O makes the nicest EMD F Units available in O scale. The train in this video is made up of rolling stock made by Atlas O, Lionel, MTH Electric Trains, and Weaver Models. And there is an MTH Premier caboose bringing up the end of the train. It’s being operated with Lionel Legacy. The track is K-Line tubular with O-96 curves. You will also see a Lionel New York Central ALCo FA-2 ABA set pulling a freight as well as an Industrial Rail trolley pass by in this video. HO Scale Athearn SD40-2, Norfolk & Western 6175, (12/12/2010)

Touring the RIT Model Railroad Club’s layout with my new Athearn Ready-to-Run EMD SD40-2. Norfolk & Western 6175, in the maroon OCS scheme. Sorry about the mediocre quality in some of the shots, my camera is just a point-and-shot photo camera that doesn’t take good videos of small objects up close. Athearn SD40T-2 Union Pacific!!!!

*set to HD** I got one of my Favorite Engines today, a Tunnel motor, a SD40T-2 to be specific. Union Pacific paint Scheme. Athearn did a great job Modeling this engine. it is an Ex Southern Pacific Engine (the SP lights have been removed and Patched) the Athearn RTR Version of the Tunnel Motor has the See-through vent in the rear. AWESOME. like i said, one of my favorite engines. i have Southern Pacific Tunnel motor on the way which still has the SP Lights Built into the Nose and Between the Number Boards. Highly Recomended

Athearn Genesis SD45-2 MRL #306 has been retro fitted with a Soundtraxx Tsunami digital sound decoder. Prime mover is an EMD 645 with turbo charger.

The Overland

The Overland travelling from Melbourne to Adelaide passing through Big Bend cutting on the K&EF railway a model railway layout depicting railway operations in South Australia during the early 1980s. Two Australian National 930 class AE Goodwin Alco diesel electric locomotives are seen waiting on the Stonie while the Overland passes. The 930s are Lima models. V Line Clyde EMD X class X49 an Austrains model fitted with a TCS T1 DCC decoder is the lead engine on the Overland. The second loco is S310 a Lima model with it’s mechanism removed to make it a dummy locomotive but fitted with a MRC sounder to provide sound to the consist. All the vehicles on the Overland are Lima models. The video was filmed with an Olympus FE-370 8 megapixle digital camera.

Lionel Rock Island GP 7 with Legacy around the Christmas Tree

Here is a video of a Lionel Rock Island GP7 in action around my Christmas Tree. The train this locomotive is pulling is made up of rolling stock from Atlas O, Lionel, MTH electric trains, and Weaver Models. The track is K-Line tubular with 0-96 curves. This train is also being controlled with Lionel Legacy.
