MTH Premier O-Gauge SP Daylight GS-2 & GS-4 Double-Headed
Two of the most popular videos that I’ve shot have been those showing the SP Daylight GS-2 and GS-4 steam locomotives. I’ve received a number of requests to show them running double-headed. This video is the result of those requests. Here they are, the GS-2 leading with the GS-4 following, hauling a long string of matching Daylight passenger cars. After the first run-by, I wondered what they would look like at twilight, so I shut down most of the lighting for the second run-by. While grainier and more jerky than the fully lit run-by, it does let you see the cars lit mostly by their own lighting. how do you double head the steam engines. The fronts dont have couplers
Premier steamers come with a scale coupler on the front that can be exchanged for a dummy knuckle coupler that is included with the locomotive.

This was an amazing video, but I couldn’t help but realize that the GS-2 had the wrong pilot beam, an enclosed cab (the prototype had an open cab), and the cars had domes, never pulled by GS-steamers while they were still in Daylight colors.

is there anyway one can do a thriple headed steam train run
and quadruple, etc. DCS makes it easy. I have a video up with three PRR K4s locomotives lashed into a tripleheader.
does MTH make any two-rail scale engines in “O”.for that kind of dough & realism I’d lose that damn third rail
Yes, they certainly do! Most of the Premier steamers can now be ordered either with hi-rail wheels (3-rail) or scale wheels (2-rail).

how many locos do u have altogether, its like you devote your live to these trains, i only have 5 trains and that is enough, you have like 150 and you have like 3 of each
Hray, my dream has come true, I always wanted to see 4412 double head with 4449. If only the 4412 were still around today.
You should run a 4449 & 844 double header.
